A Mother's Scorn

This is my beautiful, wonderful, sweet, silly, and most loving mother.  She insisted that we spend some 'quality' time together today.  I imagine she probably has empty nest syndrome.  I can't blame her.  She has a great son.  She claims that she's getting old.  I disagree.  She is still and will always be, in my eyes, perfect.

Mr. Gavin Williams

Here's my favorite photo of the day.  This here is Gavin.  He is probably the most happy-go-lucky baby that i've ever seen.  Although we didn't get many smiles out of him, he did manage to play 'jet plane' a couple of times.  This is one of those times:

Attention Moms & Dads!

If you've found me here, chances are that you're familiar with my work - or perhaps you're a friend of a friend.  It may be that I've photographed your wedding or your children.  If that be the case, then you're well aware that I was an outspoken opponent of digital photography.  Let me take a moment to recant...  As of late, I've embraced the defeat of the film camera and have apprehensively entered into the twenty first century and the ever-evolving world of digital photography.

That being said...  I'm looking for a few cute kids to 'learn' how to make digital pictures (the digital darkroom, i.e. photoshop) and specifically how to maneuver my new camera while shooting in various lighting conditions - using new and unfamiliar equipment.  I've recently posted my first digital session - Miss Emily Strickland.  I was amazed at the clarity and color range that this camera produced!  If you're a pro photographer and are interested in sharing some information with an old film man - be my welcomed guest.

So parents...  Let me know if you're up for the challenge.  I'm particularly interested in getting back into the portrait end of it.  You can contact me with any questions or to schedule a session at the posted address.  Continue to log on and check out what's going on.

Grace and Peace!
